The 1896 Cardiff Fine Art, Industrial and Maritime Exhibition was organised by a committee of public figures, businessmen and industrialists who wanted to promote Cardiff’s resources and industries. The exhibition included displays of fine art, machinery and scientific instruments as well as concerts and outdoor shows.
