On 23rd April 1927 Cardiff City beat Arsenal 1-0 to win the FA Cup, bringing it to Wales for the first and only time.
Hughie Ferguson scored the winning goal in the 74th minute, the ball slipping through the Arsenal keeper’s hands to enter the net.
The victory was a moment of national pride for Wales and from that point on, what had been known as the English Cup became the FA Cup.
This souvenir belonged to Mr Williams who attended the game.
