Charles Street Carnival started in 1977 as an alternative community celebration of the Queen's Silver Jubilee. With Stalls, music and art. The carnival continued until the 1990s. This commemorative plate is slip-decorated earthenware designed and made by Molly Curley for the Charles Street Carnival. Molly was a founder member of the Makers' Guild in Wales. This plate was designed around the Carnival theme for the year.
