Inspired by placards at Women’s Marches, Charlotte Peacock stitched miniature versions.

“I’d never been part of protests until recently. Just seeing people on mass all fighting for the same thing because they’re not happy with what’s going on; I wanted to do something. By stitching up the protest stitches I can raise some money for charity and at least do something, even if it’s very small it’s better than nothing.

“I’ve been on about four or five marches now. It’s really interesting, meeting people from all different walks of life; seeing people there with their kids; seeing people there with their Grannies; seeing the one or two people that are trying to cause controversy, but generally it’s been really good. 

“If there’s something I believe in I’m going to try and stick up for it, and maybe stitch some more placards on the way!”
