The is a 1950s Conway Camera, and belonged to Ira Mills-Calford. Conway cameras were manufactured by Standard Cameras Ltd, as an affordable range of cameras in the 1950s.

This was Ira’s first camera given to her by her parents. She recalls thinking it was wonderful at the time, as she could take photographs vertically and horizontally. She enjoyed using it to take photographs at school and on trips. She last remembered using it in when she was in junior school at age 10.

Whilst showing this camera to the museum, Ira realised there was still a roll of film in the camera, containing undeveloped photographs.
