A red t-shirt donated by John Rostron, founder and promoter for Sŵn Festival. Sŵn is a music festival lasting three days, promoting local bands and artists in Cardiff. It is held in October every year, and is now a part of Cardiff Music City Festival, which runs for two weeks in October across Cardiff.
John began Sŵn in 2007, alongside Radio 6 DJ Huw Stephens. The festival promotes mostly new music, often unsigned and local bands, in small venues across different areas of Cardiff to stimulate interest in new bands and venues alike. John tells us: “the first point of the festival was simply to hold a good event. The second was to encourage people to use Cardiff.” -
Physical descriptionA red shirt with short sheeve. The white logo ‘(sŵn)’ is printed on the image of a woman operating a machine.
