This red badge was part of the standard issue uniform and would have been worn on the cap or tunic lapel of drivers and conductors of trolleybuses and motorbuses. In 1964 the Cardiff Corporation Transport department changed its name to City of Cardiff Transport and continued to use this badge until 1974 when the uniform was updated.
